Celebrities don't matter

When it comes to presidential elections I believe celebrities should not speak out. Their celebrity status should not be the influence by which we vote. They can have an opinion, yes, but they seem to use these opinions as a way to send people a message "vote for my canditate because if you want to be popular like me you have to".

Inevitably they often make fools of themselves and say things that then they have to take back; remember in the last elections Alec Baldwin said if Bush won he would move out of the country? Guess what...he didn't! Now Lindsay Lohan makes a statement that only highlights my point that in the world today the bad thing to do it seen as the normal thing to do, and being good is seen as the wrong choice:

"I really cannot bite my tongue," Lohan writes, urging people to vote for Sen. Barack Obama. "Is it a sin to be gay? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?"

Hey Lindsay, here's your answer...uuhh..YES! Isn't is funny how most of them are for pre-marital sex, homosexuality, and other various forms of sin? I bet they know exactly what the Bible says but they choose to turn a blind eye because they're afraid to stand out for the right reasons and go against the flow.

Hollywood needs to wake up, seriously, and stop using elections to further their own sick twisted agendas and ideas. Hollywood is NOT the norm. I hope people vote their conscience...vote on the issues that matter to them personally.
